Authoritarian
Erdogan, the president of Turkey has got some
of his power sapped and the west has given him a bad press
since he told Israel some home truths.
He is a person, who dares, like Putin, disagree with the west.
And I think of Atta Turk the founder of a secular Turkey,
he freed the women from bondage, the slavery of the burka,
not a character the Islamists would admire.
There s always a price to pay his life was sad as he suffered
the illness of alcoholism, but it was said he had great charm,
ebullient when at times, and when he did not drink tended to
be withdrawn wanting to leave and go home and be left alone
to drink himself into oblivion. A well known British politician,
died from this dreaded illness, and the establishment only had
kind words for him, which I didn’t quite believe because in his cups
he must have been vexing like the drunks you see in the park.
